Sometimes certain kind of virtual games (mostly those of the ‘simulator’ type) might represent not necessarily an ‘escapism’ or so, but mainly a ‘therapy’, an exercise for one’s SELF-ESTEEM… Wouldn’t anyone agree? I put this collocation here because of remembering a story once read about pop singer Mariah Carey, by a hard time she had been recently experiencing, and how such kind of simulating games just had helped her to get over. And she did, at last… Hence, whether certain things are ‘escapism’ or not, depends on the individual.
Of course those games which could incite to violence or prejudice of any kind are not included within the discussion here presented. That is other question.
Some things apparently trivial may suggest a new, perhaps unusual dimension in certain situations in our lives.
It’s all up to you.
