According to what The Who’s Pete Townshend reviewed about Kurt Cobain’s ‘Journals’, seems that the book in question might have somehow anticipated the current, say, ego-ish spirit (oni)present in the so-called World Wide Web, nowadays. To mention one aspect of a whole matter.

And this is NOT necessarily a compliment to Mr. Cobain’s ‘legacy’.

Besides, and to some extent, Mr. Townshend speaks for all those who, to the eye of the ambitiously perverse youth (and to the media industry as well), become ‘old’, ‘a bore’ and ‘conventional’.
